Starlogs is read without signing in. The only personal data it keeps is the address you give the Monday letter.
- Reading the site asks nothing of you. There are no accounts for readers, no analytics and no tracking cookies. Your theme and your recent searches are kept in your own browser and never sent to us. Our host sees each request the way any web server does.
- The letter keeps one thing: your address. It lives in one table, beside the dates you signed up, confirmed and left. Each letter sent is recorded against an opaque id, not against the address.
- It is used for the Monday letter and nothing else. You get one email to confirm and then one letter a week. The address is never sold, shared, or used to mail you anything else.
- Three services handle it for us.Neon holds the database. Resend delivers the mail, so it sees your address each time a letter goes out. Vercel runs the site and receives the signup form.
- Links never carry your address.Confirm and unsubscribe links carry random tokens. A confirmation token is stored only as a hash and expires after 24 hours, and opening a link changes nothing until you press its button.
- Signup limits don't keep your IP.To stop abuse we count attempts against a keyed hash of your network address, never the address itself, and the counts are deleted within the hour.
- Leaving takes one click.Every letter has an unsubscribe link, and mail stops at once. The address then stays on file marked as unsubscribed. To ask what we hold or to have it erased, write to newsletter@mail.starlogs.si.
